Matias Bach was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1970. After living in Brussels and Vienna, he is now based in Hamburg, Germany.

He graduated from the University of Buenos Aires in 1992 with a degree in Graphic Design and worked as a teacher at the same university from 1993 to 1997. As a consultant and freelance designer, he has undertaken a variety of projects, ranging from assignments for small companies to projects for large corporations across several areas of graphic design.

Facing Earth Project

Throughout his career, he has always maintained a strong connection to photography.

In 2017, he decided to take that bond a step further by embarking on his Facing Earth Project, aiming to achieve—through photography—a deeper connection with our surroundings, the real world, and the essence of nature, as well as its influence on our minds and senses.
